Hello! My names Jake and I'm currently an IT technician at Godalming College! I'm 18 years old and an aspiring games developer, I hope you'll take this opportunity to learn a bit about who I am and what I've been up to!
So... what have I been up to?
From September 2023 to June 2025, I was a student at Godalming College studying BTEC level 3 Information Technology and Computer science! I had alot of fun with both courses as I got to make different types of software, learning new skills along the way, and develop my understanding of programming as a whole along with much, much more!
My favourite project!
I've completed 3 major projects in my time at Godalming college, as you can see here on my projects page! My favourite of these has to have been my game "Bacteria Beatdown" due to the fact that I got to combine two of my passions into one project! The development of Bacteria Beatdown is what solidified in my mind that the games industry was for me!
Many people in my class decided to use pre-made asset packs for their games, however I opted for designing my own! They're fairly simple, however I enjoyed making them alot and hope to be able to do more and move up to 3d character design as well!
